Symbiosis (Album Lyrics)

Animal Cry

Pack everything in plastic, extra bubble wrap,
just neatly package it, to protect your fashionable clothes

It's strange how the fashions change, everyday,
seems they've got to manipulate, us to buy and then throw it all away.

This is my animal cry, my animal plea
they deserve the same rights as you as me

The plastic bottle, bobbing in the sea
might outlive humanity,
could destroy an innocent species

While you rub, your face in palm-oil,
keep looking you, yet leave the Earth without a lubg,
as we destroy all of the rainforests.

This is my animal cry, my animal plea
they deserve the same rights as you as me
Widen your identity,
and become one with every living entity on Earth,

On mother Earth, on mother Earth

Merchandise

Every name is a corporation, every word is copyright,
everybody is looking for something to sell or to buy,
doesn't matter what the product is, if the cycles maintained
think up uneccesary accessories to further milk your fame.

I've decided to cash in to, with my own perfumed product range tailored just for you,
I've got peanut butter cheek cream, rub it on your face,
I've got hummus scented aftershave for my vegan fanbase.

I can't make enough money from my music,
so I turn my whole life into a brand,
limited edition CDs,
buy one get one freebies,
my fragrance called Repel is still in popular demand

Come on an buy my, bbbb buy my, bbbbb buy my,
bbbb buy my merchandise
Come on an buy my, bbbb buy my, bbbbb buy my,
bbbb buy my merchandise

Talent doesn't matter with a marketing scheme,
find a trend or a niche, manufacture the need,
with celebrity endorsement, insanity is in stock,
people queue all day and night outside of the shops

Aftershave that smells like Brad Pitt's armpits,
Gyyneth Paltrow toilet roll so soft on your bits,
pay to see a hologram of your favourite dead star,
without realising the star constellation that you are

I can't make enough money from my music,
so I turn my whole life into a brand,
limited edition CDs,
buy one get one freebies,
my fragrance called Repel is still in popular demand

Come on an buy my, bbbb buy my, bbbbb buy my,
bbbb buy my merchandise
Come on an buy my, bbbb buy my, bbbbb buy my,
bbbb buy my merchandise

Reincarnated

If you're sick of hearing the same old tunes,
tune up your instrument to 432hz,
there are so many sound waves,
that we can't hear,
so tune up your eardrums to the music of the spheres

Don't standardise or normalise every area of your life,
don't kill creativity

They say you're dead, but something tells me you still live,
at a different frequency, maybe just a new bandwidth,
until you're reincarnated again

Who decides what is in tune? How do we know what is not?
Why is it A 440hz, ancient wisdom forgot

Open up new frequencies, alternate realities,
there has to be more than us

They say you're dead, but something tells me you still live,
at a different frequency, maybe just a new bandwidth,
until you're reincarnated again
until you're reincarnated again

Seed In My Pocket

Have you ever watched the starlings, murmurating in the sky?
They're clearly having fun, not just think of new ways to survive

Have you ever shared your sandwich, with a hungry little gull?
The signs tell me not to share but I don't care,
I feel abundantly full

Everywhere I go I carry seed in my pocket,
in case a little bird flies by,
I want to share, I want to share,
the joy of being alive.

And everywhere I go I carry seed in my pocket,
I want to help the Earth regrow,
you've got to give on back, give on back,
give on back, with what you sow

Have you ever spent an hour or two, just relaxing on the grass?
Slow down to nature's pace leave the human race and the next to-do-list task

Have you ever watched a plant grow, from a tiny little seed?
I find when I raise them up, they raise me up
and give me back what I need

Everywhere I go I carry seed in my pocket,
in case a little bird flies by,
I want to share, I want to share,
the joy of being alive.

And everywhere I go I carry seed in my pocket,
I want to help the Earth regrow,
you've got to give on back, give on back,
give on back, with what you sow

Everywhere I go, everywhere I go,
everywhere I go, I carry seed in my pocket

Plastic Grass

Chop down the apple tree, it might attract bees that could sting,
and I wouldn't want that

Dig up the roses, the thorns could pierce your skin,
and I wouldn't want that

I want to keep you safe from harm

Cover it all in plastic grass,
cover it all in concrete paths

Drain down the pond, I've heard you could drown in an inch
and I wouldn't want that

All the butterflies are gone,
still I put your painting on the fridge, that minibeast one that you did

I want to keep you safe from harm

Cover it all in plastic grass,
cover it all in concrete paths

Frugal

I’ve got cupboards full of things,
That I never use so I won’t ,
Buy anything, anything more.

I’ve got draws full of stuff,
I want rid, I’ve had enough so I won’t,
Buy anything, anything more.

Sometimes when evening comes I meditate,
Then all I need quickly comes in waves of love...

I’ve got friends and family,
I’ve got friends and family,
So I won’t buy anything, anything else.

I’ve got love in my heart,
I’ve got love in my heart,
So I won’t buy anything, anything more.

Sometimes when evening comes I screen stare,
But then when morning comes I want you to know
That I care.

I’m frugal, frugal
So I won’t buy anything, anything more...

Symbiosis

The swallow skims the river bend,
takes insects from the breeze.
The heron dips for a fish,
Under willow trees.

Life in death, death in life,
all is intertwined.
You might not know it but
every life is tied.

Why do humans, try to work against,
the curvature of nature?
All connected, perfect coexistence,
Take the path of nonresistance , be free.

Mess around with D.N.A, make the pets appealing
Humanised, flattened smiles, they’ve got trouble with their breathing.
Straighten out the wonky veg, chuck out imperfections
Make them all look the same, selective vivisection

Why do humans, try to work against,
the curvature of nature?
All dependent , perfect symbiosis
Make love your only focus, be free
take only what you need.

Sentient

Stuck at the lights, driving to work again
pulled up alongside me, was a livestock truck
Hundreds of eyes were staring back,
unaware of their fate, they lived for the plate

Packed in like commodities, and yet they live and breathe,
they share our only Earth, every life must have more worth?

When the lights turned to green, the truck sped off to the abattoir,
hundreds of cars will speed straight past,
and not notice those eyes in their busy lives

We kill and then forget,
yet adorn our family pets,
they share our only Earth,
every life could have more worth,
must have more worth

Sentient, animals are sentient, sentient
they feel pain like I feel pain,
they share most of the same DNA

They are sentient, animals are sentient, sentient
they feel joy like I feel joy,
but their potential has been destroyed,
they are sentient
